Australian Cattle Dog

Australian cattle dog is a cross breed dog that came into existence in early 19th century, in Australian country side. It was earlier known as blue heeler puppies. Its parent breeds are probably Dalmatian and Collie. Australian cattle dog was earlier considered as the most efficient dog to keep cattle in herds. These dogs were very handy in controlling cattle. Now-a-days, Australian cattle dog's popularity is soaring as a family pet. This puppy is exceptionally good for rural farm houses.

Australian cattle dog is a quiet natured dog but very conscious towards it's duty of surveillance. These pups react unusually when they see strangers. It could be obedient and loyal to the owner if it receives the desired attention and pet care. This dog must not be provoked otherwise it would end up biting you. Kids in the family must be issued instructions in this regard. They need to be trained well to suit the family environment. It could be an efficient working dog. These small dogs  are hardly susceptible to diseases.

These puppies come in attractive colors with white being the prominent one. Dog lovers instantaneously fall in love with their aesthetically soothing skin. You need to keep this dog busy with workouts as they easily get bored with immobility. At the time of dog adoption, you must acquaint yourself with the kind of training that this breed needs. They must be given proper dog feeding and dog boarding. You don't have to spent too much time on Australian dog grooming.
