Blue Heeler Dogs

Blue heeler dogs are a cross breed that is said to have developed in Australia in the early 19th century. The crossing was perhaps done between Kelpie and dingos or Dalmatian and Collie. Australian cattle dog is the name with which they are known today. This breed was developed in the country like Australia for the purpose of keeping cattle in herds and they prove to be quite efficient in controlling cattle. Blue heeler dogs prove to be good watch dogs with their traits of agility and surveillance.

Usually, blue heeler dogs keep a calm posture but once they notice an unfamiliar face, they become aggressive enough to bite the person. Loyalty and obedience towards the master happen to be the hallmark of this breed of puppies. Although they are a little less tolerant to children, they prove to be good family pet dogs. Immediately after the adoption, the puppy of this breed needs to be given extensive training in the context of dog behavior so that it could get rid of it's habit of biting people. It's better you choose smallest one among small dogs of this breed.

Once they are infused with behavioral instruction at the early age, they are most likely to abide by it. Blue heeler pups happen to be very hard working. These dogs are unlikely to develop diseases having it's origin from gene. They possess neither a thick nor thin coat. They look awesome with beautiful color patches and white backdrop of skin.

These puppies also love to be with family but because of being very restive by nature, they could create problems for family folks. For that they need to be engaged in activities. They have high exercise demand that should be fulfilled to keep these dogs happy. Otherwise, they may annoy you with excessive barking and ill demeanors. Sometimes, dog aggression among these puppies goes beyond your tolerance level. So, you must learn how to pacify these dogs. It's better to learn it before the adoption of the dog. They need proper dog boarding and feeding. Sporty dog lovers can go for this breed.
