Looking For Airedale Puppies

Airedale puppies were originally bred for hunting. These large pups have the capability to meet the tough challenges. They belong to Aire Dale in Yorkshire, England. They look different from other puppies because of their unique look. They have broken coat and their dog grooming should be done on regular basis. Stripping is the proper method to groom this canine. In this process, a small and serrated edge knife is used to pull out old and loose hair. Its a wiry top coat with soft and smooth undercoat. Airedale puppy does not shed hair heavily like other dogs with regular coat.

They are robust, long-legged and large stature dogs which almost give the appearance of wild dogs. Weighing between 44-50 pounds, they are almost 22-24 inches tall. They are available in black and gray color. They have the largest teeth in the terrier group. Due to their sharp and strong teeth, they were basically used for working, retrieving and hunting. Professionals and experts are hired to train dogs of this breed as bird dogs, military dogs, police dogs and alike.

Dog behavior is stubborn, courageous and ferocious. They are very intelligent and can become the perfect watch dogs or guard dogs too. They are too loyal and reliable. Once adopted, they get fully committed to you. They protect you and your property with their life.

As far as the dog health of this breed is concerned, they are prone to a very common disease called hip dysplasia. Proper dog feeding and pet care will help him to live for almost 12 years and this is the age, which he lives normally.
