Anatolian dogs are the guard dogs. These puppies are commonly seen in fawn color with black facial mask. The brave canine is commonly bred to guard sheep and goat flocks. These pups are natural guards who are very observant, loyal, brave, responsive and intelligent.
Anatolian dogs have long hair coat and thus dog grooming of this breed is not an easy process. The puppy is 27-29 inches in height and around 110-140 gms in weight. But, he is very agile and light when he walks on his feet. His movements are well-balanced and graceful.
Anatolian dogs are famous in Europe and great Britain. They has been registered by AKC (American Kennel Club) as a member of the working group. This dog behavior is very possessive for his flock. The dog aggression comes in front when his flock is in danger or when someone tries to harm them.
The Anatolian dogs belong to independent breed and thus should not be used as house pet at all. They are very faithful but definitely don't like to get confined in the four walls of your home as they just love to be outside.
Pet care guidelines suggest that dog lovers should not take him as a regular pet. He needs to be socialized and love to be surrounded with people. He is very possessive for his owners and his flocks and does not hesitate at all hurting the person who is intended to bring trouble to his flocks or owner.
